Our topic for Spring 1 is 

Roaming with the Romans 

In this topic we will be investigating why the Romans invaded Britain and the reaction of the Celts; learning how the Romans changed life in Britain.

In science, we will be observing the appearance and physical properties of rocks, the children compare and group different rock samples, learn about fossil and soil formation and record soil drainage rates in a bar chart.

Outcome- to create their own narrative about an unusual friendship. 

Class trip to Colchester castle

We made body fossils in science by adding layers of 'sediment' and minerals. We they took the layers away to reveal a body fossil.
