Welcome to our Wellbeing page.
This area shares up-to-date information about how Bradfield Primary School supports the wellbeing and mental health of all our children, families, and staff, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
We understand wellbeing as a state of being comfortable, healthy, and happy. At Bradfield, promoting positive wellbeing and resilience is central to everything we do. By placing wellbeing at the heart of our school, we aim to remove barriers to achievement and ensure there are no limits to aspiration.
We are committed to creating a supportive, inclusive community where mental health is valued, everyone feels safe, and every individual is respected. Our whole-school approach ensures that pupils, families, and staff work together to provide understanding, early intervention, and effective support.
We are committed to supporting the mental health and emotional wellbeing of all pupils.
All pupils benefit from:
Wellbeing education through assemblies, PSHE, tutor time, and the Happy Minds programme
Open, age-appropriate conversations about mental health
Access to trusted online resources via the Wellbeing/SEND page
Opportunities to share worries or concerns
Pastoral support from staff, including teaching assistants and the SENCo
Safe spaces in classrooms, such as worry boxes and circle time
Additional Support when needed. If a pupil requires further mental health or wellbeing support, we will work closely with families to agree the most appropriate help.
