Wellbeing
Welcome to our Wellbeing page.
This area is dedicated to share up to date information with you around the schools approaches in supporting wellbeing and mental health for all of our children, parents and staff.
We understand wellbeing as a state of being comfortable, healthy and happy.
At Bradfield Primary School our aim is to promote resilience and positive wellbeing for all in our community. We put wellbeing at the heart of our school to ensure our community has no barriers to achievement and no limit to aspirations.
We strive to ensure that mental health across the whole school community has a high importance. It is a place where everyone is supportive of each other and everyone has a value.
The whole school aims to work together to provide excellent mental health support, understanding and intervention.

Essex County Council has launched some additional support for people during the COVID-19 pandemic. This support is called ‘Family Innovation Fund-Xtra’ (FifXtra) and is designed to give Essex families that little extra help.
YMCA Essex and other organisations are available should you have children, young people or families that require low-level support, that cannot be supported by services such as Schools, and GPs alone.
FifXtra is strictly for those who are not open to specialist or statutory services such as social care or mental health services. Children aged 0-19 (up to 25 with special educational needs and learning disabilities) and their parents/carers can access support; either individually, in groups, as a couple or the whole family.
Please find attached the referral form for this service, which will give you more of a brief outline of how we can help and what information we will need, should anyone wish to approach us.
If you wish to return a referral form to us, please may I recommend you send them directly to our Youth Services Manager, Sarah Daniels at: sarah.daniels@ymcachelmsford.org.uk
Should you have any questions regarding the project or the support that YMCA Essex can provide, you may contact us through this enquiries@ymcaessex.org.uk email address.
