I would like to extend a warm welcome to you and thank you for the interest you have taken in our school. I hope our website gives you a feel for how we do things at Bradfield Primary School.
Our whole school community values the contribution every child brings to our school and this makes it a happy and harmonious place to learn and work. Relationships and attitudes within our school are very positive and an ethos exists in which learning together becomes an enjoyable and fulfilling experience for all.
Our school motto is: ‘Be Your Best’ and this sentiment underpins all we do at here. Our pupils are at the heart of the school and we strongly believe there should be no barriers to learning and no limit to aspiration. We strive for the highest standards in all areas of the curriculum for all children. Children make good progress here and leave primary school fully prepared to enter their next stage of learning.
Learning is our core purpose and we strongly encourage a positive thinking and a ‘can do’ attitude, this ethos helps our children understand how to be resilient and confident learners. Children are encouraged to see mistakes as learning opportunities and believe that there is nothing that they can’t do; they just can’t do it yet.
As a school community we pride ourselves on the strong reputation we have for developing the social and emotional needs of all of our children and for the way we embrace and celebrate every kind of achievement. This is reflected in our vision and values, which are embedded across the school community. Our pupils are encouraged to make informed decisions and develop the capacity to become independent and successful life-long learners.
We welcome parents as partners so that, together, we can promote high standards of learning and behaviour. I encourage you to come and visit us to find out more by having a tour of our school and talking to our staff and children. Appointments can be made through the school office.
I look forward to meeting with you.
