Admissions

The admission arrangements for a school are the full set of arrangements which set out how a school will admit pupils.  Please refer to the Admissions Policy (located in Policies) for more detailed information.

This includes the published admission number (the maximum number of pupils intended to be admitted to the relevant year group), the oversubscription criteria and information on waiting lists.

Essex County Council is the admission authority for all community and voluntary controlled schools in Essex. This means that the council sets the oversubscription criteria and makes the decisions as to which pupils are admitted to these schools.

Those wishing to apply for a place at Bradfield Primary School are welcome to make an appointment to view the school at anytime. Please contact the school office to arrange a mutually convenient time.

  • School Admissions Parents can apply for their child's Reception school place from November. The closing date for applications is January.
  • Mid-year School Admissions Essex County Council Mid Year Application Form - If your child is already attending a primary, infant or junior school and you wish to apply for a transfer to a different primary, infant or junior school (currently in Reception or in Years 1 to 6) please apply using a mid-year application form or follow the online application for a school place.
