The Governors have specific responsibilities in relation to curriculum, appointments and dismissal of staff, performance management, admissions to the school, discipline, buildings and grounds, proper use of school funds and school policies. Therefore, they consider the school in terms of staff, buildings and other resources and advise Essex County Council if they believe these needs are not being met. Equally, they also ensure that resources made available to the school are being used effectively.
